Today we are processing what the future looks like. We're receiving and digesting the same information at the same time as you are, and that information is changing moment by moment.
The communal experience of playing music is a huge part of why we do what we do. Unfortunately at this time, physically gathering together as a community doesn't seem like a wise decision. Social Distancing is crucial during this time when we are trying to keep this deadly virus at bay. And yet, human contact is truly what makes human existence worth living. This distancing from our loved ones and the world outside is a loss for humanity as a whole. And let’s be honest about our loss; there is a void in the world today.
Our hope is to fill that void with joy. Music is what we do best. Music is what brings us joy, love and truth. This is what we do when nothing makes sense. When we have no words, music speaks.
We see it as our duty, now more than ever, to sing these songs, to provide a window of escape or relief or hope, so that's what we’ll do. While we’re hunkered down at the studio, we’ll be sharing some in the moment tunes via video, offering what we can through song... Hope in the place of fear. Moments of escape from the turmoil surrounding us.
What is it that you do? Who are the people that bring you joy? What are the things that bring you joy? Send a video to your grandmother. Write a poem for your grandpa. Reach out.
Fill the void. Reach out. We are a community. We are in this together. If you feel alone, reach out to a friend, a family member, anyone. Find a reason to smile.
As of now our BRO-AM & Getaway events are still scheduled for late June - We are working closely with the necessary local officials and adhering to the recommendations from the CDC regarding Covid-19. Safety is of course the top priority, and we're monitoring the situation moment by moment and will provide updates as they become available.
Love is the movement - Hope is the anthem.
